[Autumn Beauties]

The weather today was amazingly gorgeous. It  couldn't have been a more beautiful autumn day. The sunlight and the crisp leaves on the ground....made a perfect day for two little beauties I met this morning at the park.  They took a little bit to warm up to the camera, but once they did they were off playing in the leaves. throwing pebbles in the creek, running around playing with their Mommy and swinging with their Daddy on the swing.

 

I'll be back with more from Sammy and Jessie's session soon.....I'd love to stay up and finish editing all of the pictures from their session, but I know we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow. So its off to bed for me and the kiddos (yes they are still up playing).

[Kaitlyn] Charleston Senior Photographer

 

I just finished up Kaitlyn's senior session. I have been so busy lately, the holiday rush is starting in full swing. I have a few sessions available and am sure that they will book fast.

I am glad to be back, but I know I have so much to catch up on. The meds the doctor put me on really knocked me out. I want to thank all of my clients for your patience and understanding during this time. I will be returning all phone calls tomorrow.

[Wedding of Joey and Jenny, September 19th]

I have to say, Joey and Jenny's  wedding was probably one of the most lively weddings that I've ever been too. It was a beautiful fall wedding. One of my favorite things from the wedding details was the guitar that all the wedding guests signed. Joey wrote a song for his bride and sang it to her during the ceremony. It was such a beautiful song and made Jenny tear up. Then for the reception, well....lets just say they had a lot of fun with the cake. And the fiddler.....he was amazing, I've never heard anyone play the fiddle like that. The bride and groom made their entrance to the reception clogging to the fiddler and the band playing. A lot of the wedding party and family joined in on the clogging at the reception. It was very fun to watch.

[An Old Truck, Little Boots and One Happy Boy]

 

I just loved Malaki Lee's  little blue corduroy jacket, plaid shirt and boots him mommy dressed him in for his first birthday session. He was such a sweetie sitting on top of his grandpa's old Dodge truck.

While editing a few senior pictures from a session this evening that song kept coming to mind. My daughter, Natalie, loved this girls pictures....."especially her boots.....just like Taylor Swift", she told me. 

Kaitlyn is a soon to be graduate, she has many plans in her future including a trip to Ireland (yes, I'm jealous....Ireland....a beautiful place to see I am sure). She has a wonderful voice and has been singing since  she was little she told me. She  sings with  the Appalachian Children's Choir, and has been  for years. She is a beautiful senior and has a wonderful future ahead of her.

This sweet little girl just turned one. A big milestone, and many more to come. She had the sweetest smile and the prettiest blue eyes.

She was walking to her Daddy here. Something about this picture I love, maybe the way you can see her concentration on her Daddy's hands as she walking to him.

This little girl was full of such sweet, spunky personality.  She sang her ABC's, made a collection of leaves, told me about seeing the movie "Cloudy with a Side of Meatballs"and told me about a little blue camera she wants from Santa Clause for Christmas.

A couple in the park passing us by was kind and gave her a handful of peanuts to feed the squirrels in the park. And that, she tried to do........it made her mom and I  laugh watching her chase the squirrels all over the park yelling, "Come here squirrels, I have some peanuts  for you!".  After some advice from the couple who passed us a second time and happily gave her some more peanuts and told her to through a peanut on the ground, stand really still and the squirrels will come and get the peanut she gave them. She gave it a try and after that was giggling with excitement that the squirrel ate it's peanuts she threw to them.

Then she fed the ducks some peanuts (not sure if they really ate the peanuts).....

It was a beautiful, cool autumn day at the park. The rain held off just enough for us.

Tara, it was good seeing you again. High school seems forever ago. And Payten, I hope Santa Clause brings you the little blue camera you want. I'm sure you will have lots of fun with it.

[A Little Prayer]

Baby Stephen has been in an out of the hospital since his birth. Please pray for strength for his family and peace for this little baby. He has a big brother and sister at home that I know miss him very much every trip he has to make back to the hospital.

As you give your children a kiss goodnight tonight and say a little prayer with them, please remember to say a little prayer for Baby Stephen.

Limited Holiday Sessions Available

It is that time of year again, sessions start booking fast. This is a reminder to anyone interested in booking a session with Amber Hope Photography, I am scheduling for the 2009 Holiday schedule now and have a very limited number of sessions available. I only have two sessions left available in October and a handful of sessions available in November.

My cut off date for Christmas delivery is-

Sessions must be scheduled by November 21st

Orders MUST BE IN and paid for in full by December 4th

If you are interested in scheduling an appointment, please email me because I will book up.

I will only be accepting maternity and newborn sessions in December. December is a busy time of year but also a time of year that I want to enjoy with my family as we celebrate Christmas in all the wonderful memorable ways we do every year.

I had the honor of photographing Joey and Jenny's wedding yesterday. Every little detail of the wedding was beautiful.

Congratulations Joey and Jenny, have a wonderful, unforgettable life together.

Baby Simeon | Charleston Newborn Photographer

I have always loved photography and I enjoy all the sessions that I shoot.  But I must say  I have a special place for the hospital newborn sessions. I believe they are my favorite of all to shoot. I love all the  tiny details from the wrinkled little feet to the tiny little hands.

Looking back at my children's birth, I am thankful for my mother and that she was able to capture pictures for me that I was unable to. However, I do wish I could have captured some of the tiny details, such as their wrinkled newborn feet, as I do so often for many clients.

It is however such an honor to capture these special moments for you, my clients.
